Pharaohs Olive Oil & Sayeda Zeinab Olive Groves

In the virgin desert of Ismailia, 18 km west of the Suez Canal, specifically in year 1986 ’Mohamed El-Kholy and wife Zeinab decided to follow their dream and began the long journey of pursuing their passion by growing olives, and for many years and until now, they put extended effort and love into their olive trees and have expanded their orchard in 1998 and again in 2008. With their hard work and own researches, they both became renowned world experts in olive growing and processing. They have traveled the world, participating in more than a hundred workshops, symposiums, presentations and international conferences, to share their expertise with others. They have also guided and acted as consultants to many olive growers and processors around the world; from Zimbabwe where they have introduced olive growing for the first time in 1999 to as far as “down under” Australia, where Mohamed is dubbed in the media and among his Australian fellows as “The Olive Industry Prophet”.

With delicacy and extra care; their first Pharaohs Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) was produced in 1997. Ever since, they have been cold processing their own olives without the application of heat or added water to keep up the good reputation of their health beneficial, flavor rich and luminous in color EVOO.

To ensure the quality of their EVOO, they produce very small amounts, of which some is exported to world destinations such as Australia, Japan and USA. For its rare characteristics and small number of displayed bottles anywhere, their EVOO is solely sold abroad in boutique markets and high end delis.
