The College was established in 1959 under the name of the Higher Institute of Affairs in Alexandria, cotton and annexed to the Ministry of higher education after graduation of the first batch of graduates in 1963 and then passed through three stages of the overall development so far. * In 1977 was the development of the Higher Institute of affairs to the College of Science cotton quality college track, Helwan University, and continued to fulfill its mission in preparing graduates to work in the field of production, sorting, and Cotton Ginning mainly until the year 1984. * And in 1985 issued Presidential Decree No. 303 dated 10.7.1985 transferred to the Faculty of Science Faculty of Agriculture, Cotton - Helwan University, Alexandria. * Then in 1989, Decree No. 361 dated 3/9/1989 annexation College to the University of Alexandria
