College of International Transport and Logistics (CITL)

Logistics is considered the most advanced branch of business administration. Logistics is the management of activities that support production and they include purchasing, warehousing, transportation, insurance, banking, packing and packaging, exporting and customer service.

These integrated activities are managed within the context of information systems to reduce production costs, and to achieve competitive advantage for the business along achieving customer satisfaction. Therefore, the Arab academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport is the only institute in the Middle East that offers Logistics studies. The College of International Transport and Logistics is the latest addition to the Academy's colleges, which the Academy considers as a Logistics centre of excellence.

The Academy has given special attention to this science as the latest branch of management. It has been offering courses in Logistics leading to B.Sc. in International Transport and Logistics under the umbrella of the College of Maritime Transport and Technology since 1995. The success the Academy achieved in conducting these courses has increased demand for logistics graduates in the local market. No wonder, the establishment of the College of International Transport and Logistics is a giant step toward the establishment of a Logistics centre of excellence in the Middle East to cope with the latest developments in this field.
