Teatro Eskendria

Teatro Eskendria is a cultural center, café, restaurant and art space all in one, located at the heart of downtown Alexandria. It encourages its visitors to celebrate art and culture whilst socializing and dining with fellow members of the community in an inspiring ambiance.

Teatro Eskendria is housed in an old building established by an Italian architect in 1928, the modern day venue with its authentic Egyptian design and ancient art pieces combines the very essence of Egyptian culture.

Teatro Eskendria is owned and managed by a group of artists, who seek to offer an unconventional and inspiring atmosphere, catering for the needs of a variety of sectors and age groups through offering a vast array of services including mini theatre and music performances, film screenings, networking events, training in the art field alongside children’s activities, a rehearsing and recording studio, a non-traditional exhibition space, a gallery displaying the latest in Egyptian handicrafts, a boutique bookshop and a cultural café and restaurant serving delicious Egyptian gourmet.
